The last thing I expected when we walked into this unassuming little diner in a strip mall parking lot was really good Mexican food! That is exactly what we got! We walked over after getting a solid recommendation from the staff of a store we were shopping at in the strip mall. They said they had great burgers, but never mentioned Mexican. My first impression was not great. The entrance was uneven and a little precarious for a wheelchair user. They were also having new flooring put in, so that eliminated about half the seats in the restaurant. The menu is huge. The first thing I noticed were the specialty Burgers. There must've been 20 of them, all with unique toppings. I turned the page one more time and saw a bunch of Mexican Entrees. Everything from standard Tacos and Burritos to more interesting Taquitos, Flautas and Tamales. I ordered the Pork Tamales. They were fantastic! The meat was tender and spicy with the perfect amount of heat. Even the Masa, which can be bland, was perfectly seasoned. Diane's Flautas were crispy and filled with more flavorful meat. This time it was Beef. They were covered with a mound of Lettuce, Tomatoes an Sour Cream. Both entrees came with Soup, Rice and Beans. Diane had the Split Pea. She loved it and could have eaten an entire bowl. I had The Santa Fe, which was similar to Chili. It was quite good, with loads of meat and beans. The Rice and Beans were fantastic! The menu listed a bunch of pies that we were too full to try, but on the next stop we will be sure to leave room.

Expect to wait at least ten minutes to get drinks, and an hour for your food on weekends. Food generally is decent but after the wait sometimes your hunger doesn't care what it tastes like. Don't go there if you're on a time schedule.

We travel to this area for fishing trips and always look forward to a good country meal. The menu had all the right items on it but the execution was just okay. It was a fine meal but nothing to get excited about. We ate here twice and both times the service was a bit slow. There aren't alot of other similar options in town that we saw. The atmosphere was great for this type of place.

My husband and I ate here for lunch during the week. I had expected good, medium-quality diner food, but it blew us away. The menu is pages long - I had the Works burger and my husband had the Tuna Club. We got the soup (Santa Fe - excellent!) and french fries. The burger was very tasty - the lettuce, tomato, and onion were super fresh. The meat was really good and the bun was slightly grilled/toasted - just excellent. My husband said the tuna on his club sandwich was mixed perfectly and the sandwich overall was excellent. The fries were crinkle-cut and awesome. The coffee was great, too. Everything about this place was excellent and we will definitely eat there over and over again. Oh, and the service was top notch as well!
